I Remember

Alright -- I'm actually participating in one of these blog games. Shocking! It's a "Memory Swap" that I got from my friend Shar. After reading the comments people left for her, I realized it could be kind of fun.

Here's how it goes:

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one of your favorite memories that you and I had together. It doesn’t matter if you know me a little or a lot, if we’ve actually met in person or not, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you.

If you read this and you know me, you need to comment - otherwise I'll feel like a dork with no friends and then this would become a sad memory for me.

Remember when we met a month ago we were trying to take a group picture? The timer on my camera was too fast and it kept taking pictures of our behinds? I still don't regret deleting those. Although I still laugh when I think about it!!

Can I just say ditto to the comment you left for me?

Here's a good one...
Remember our date with Travis and Jason that we were all excited about that was really odd? The one where we rode around in a van driven by some other dude and they had really cheap Olive Garden side dishes for us to eat? Yeah, that was funny. Especially because of who we were on the date with... ahh high school.

Ha! Shar, I remember that date (we went to see Taming of the Shrew at Sunken Gardens Theater), I remember the Olive Garden and eating it in the van. I even remember what I was wearing (flowered stretch pants and a hot pink shirt with ballet flats) but I don't remember the guy that drove us. Weird. I also remember my date inquiring about my schedule for the next week and promising to call me and then never doing so. I was scarred for years. And then I remember asking him about it five years later in college when we had become friends and finally getting closure on that chapter of my life. Ha ha ha ha. We were so silly.

Jules...when I think of you and our friendship I think of singing country music driving around campus in your Fiero, lots of time in the tennis building, watching volleyball games in the Smith Fieldhouse and of course the HFAC. The broadcasting major was so much more fun with you on board! I think of you and instantly picture you laughing. I loved hanging out with you and wish you lived closer so we could reconnect in person!

There are so many, but our Guster concert trip at Austin City Limits would for sure be at the top of my favorite memories. Despite the heat, it was amazing fun listening to great music and especially meeting the band members.

Ha ha! You had a Fiero? Me too!! It was my very first car. It was silver and my husband named it the Silver Sled. Because it slides very nicely in the snow. Good times.

It's true. I had a red Fiero. But amazingly, it did pretty well in the snow. I always figured it was because it sat so low to the ground that it never slid. It took me forever to dig it OUT of the snow however. One good snowstorm and my car was totally buried. You guys have reminded me of some good memories! :)
